Get ready for the Ride

EVENT POSTPONEMENT: YOUR OPTIONS EXPLAINED

Having taken on board all the advice from the UK Government, the World Health Organisation and others, we have made the tough decision to postpone Dulux London Revolution until Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September 2020. 

We are doing everything we can to offer you lots of options whilst ensuring the business is able to continue delivering breath-taking challenges. Last year over 35,000 people took part in our events, raising over £16m for hundreds of good causes. We love what we do and anything which keeps you guys taking part in our events this year or next year is a huge help.

To help with our planning, it would be really useful if you can give us an indication of which of the 5 options you are looking to take up by completing the form here. The deadline for this is Monday 3rd August 2020.

1. Join us in September

We will automatically defer all places to the event in September. If you can make it along, we would love to have you there.

2. Transfer to a friend

If you can’t make that date, we’re waiving any participant transfer fees so you can transfer your place to a friend, family member, colleague or total stranger.

Process:

  • How to transfer:
    • Login into your ‘MyEvents Portal’,
    • Click ‘Transfer Registration’ and fill form with new participants details.
    • The new participant will receive a link to sign-up and pay for the ticket
  • Cost: Free of charge (we will waive the usual £25 transfer fee)
  • Deadline for transfer: Sunday 20th September.
  • Your existing registration: This will be cancelled, and the new participant will take on the place.
  • What happens next? When the new participant has signed up, your entry fee (excluding booking fee) and additional purchases (parking/shuttles/merchandise/iTabs) will be refunded within 10 working days.

3. Take part in a Threshold event in 2021

If you would prefer to enter one of our Threshold challenges in 2021, then we can issue a credit note that will be applicable against any of our events.

We will announce the event calendar later in the year once it is confirmed, and the credit note will be of the same value of what you have paid to date. Any extras you have committed for the 2020 event will be refunded in full.

Process:

  • We will contact you again in mid-July to remind you of your options
  • The final deadline for your decision will be 3rd August 2020
  • If you opt for the credit note, we will then refund any additional purchases you have made for 2020 (parking/shuttles/merchandise/iTabs) within 10 working days
  • We will then contact you as soon as next year’s events are confirmed with the process to use your credit note
  • Cost: Free of charge (we will waive the usual £25 deferral fee)

If you would like to us refund any additional purchases sooner than August, please email the team at info@london-revolution.com.

4. Registration insurance

Many of you will have taken out registration insurance via Active Refund or Booking Protect. You can contact the provider directly for more information on what compensation may be available to you.

5. Potential for refund

The participant terms and conditions you signed up to state there are no refunds.

However, we understand the above options will not suit everyone and we always look to act with transparency and decency. Due to the instability the business is facing, we can’t commit to any discretionary refunds now.

We will be reviewing this as the coronavirus pandemic evolves. We will contact you again in mid-July to remind you of your options and outline any refund policy. The final deadline for your decision will be 3rd August 2020.

Parking

Parking is available at the below locations. This MUST be pre-booked and all permits visible on the dashboard on the day:

  • Start
  • Basecamp

To book parking, you need to:

  • Log in to your MyEvents Portal.
  • Within the event, click the “Additional purchases” button
  • Select the available parking options you wish to purchase

Please note: If you follow the link from the registration form or your confirmation email, your MyEvents Portal will appear slightly differently. Here, shuttles and parking can be found through the “Merchandise” button.

Live Event Trackers

In partnership with Open Tracking, you can now hire a GPS tracker for the duration of the event!

Your tracker will provide accurate location data, available online for your friends and family to view, so they can see how well you’re progressing along the route. This is NOT linked to your event timing, but it does mean your supporters can see more accurately where you are throughout the event and how close you are to the finish line!
